Vedic Yoga’s purpose is find your true self and balance the body, mind and spirit.  Vedic Yoga practice includes 50-60 minutes of (Asana) postures to heal the body and mind, and secondarily build muscle tonality & flexibility.  In addition, Yoga postures gently activate marmani (“acupressure” points) to bring the body and mind back to balance.  Vedic Yoga practice also includes 5 minutes of prāṇāyāma (प्राणायाम, “control of lifeforce/breath”) exercises to increase the oxygenation/lifeforce (“prāṇa”) throughout the body and 15 minutes of silence/meditation.  You will benefit by experiencing increased energy, endurance, muscle tone, flexibility, as well as be more balanced in your emotions throughout the day.  Vedic tradition is the oldest science from India, which includes Āyurveda, Yoga, Tantra, Jyotisha, and Vāstu, among many other disciplines.
