Vedic Hatha Yoga practice includes 50-60 minutes of (Asana) postures to heal the body and mind, and secondarily build muscle tonality & flexibility. In addition, Yoga postures gently activate marmani (“acupressure” points) to bring the body and mind back to balance. Vedic Yoga practice also includes 5 minutes of prāṇāyāma (प्राणायाम, “control of lifeforce/breath”) exercises to increase the oxygenation/lifeforce (“prāṇa”) throughout the body and 15 minutes of silence/meditation. You will benefit by re-discovering your true Self; and secondarily experiencing increased energy, endurance, muscle tone, flexibility, as well as be more balanced in your emotions throughout the day.
