Vedic Yoga practice includes 40 minutes of (Asana) postures to heal the body and mind, and secondarily build muscle tonality, flexibility, and aerobic capacity. In addition, Yoga postures gently activate marmani (“acupressure” points) to bring you back to body and mind health. Vedic Yoga practice also includes 5 – 10 minutes of prāṇāyāma (प्राणायाम, “control of lifeforce/breath”) exercises to increase the oxygenation/lifeforce (“prāṇa”) throughout the body and 40 minutes of silence/meditation.
