The consultation process includes, but no limited to, inquiring about your wellness concerns and goals, review of family history, and providing recommendations.  We have experience with the most challenging and chronic wellness needs.  Generally, the initial consultation lasts between 45 to 60 minutes and includes up to two to three much more brief follow up consultations.

Generally, we assess the client through discussion and inquiry, general observation, pulse diagnosis (nadi pariksha) and marma therapy (acupressure or energy points). The pulse is the river of life or prana or qi/chi and is useful both in the prevention and detection of wellness challenges.  Similarly, marma therapy or energy points are centers of prana.

Recommendations may include, but not limited to, modifications to diet and/or lifestyle, herbal formulas, therapies, and general education about Ayurveda and understanding the origin of what gave rise to your particular situation.  In Ayurveda finding the original cause(s) is of utmost importance so that we may uproot it. In addition, external therapies may be recommended such as abhyanga (ayurvedic massage), shirodhara, among many others.  In some situations, we may recommend Panchakarma, which is the deepest level of detoxification. Panchakarma is the “five actions of detoxification” which include three stages: pre-panchakarma or preparatory stage, panchakarma or detoxification stage, and post-panchakarma or rejuvenation stage.  Panchakarma stage includes the five actions: vamana, virechana, vasti, nasya and rakta mokshana.

In certain cases, we are available to consult with you at your home.  For those with proof of financial challenges, we offer reduced pricing and payment plans.  We look forward to being of service.  Namaste (may the light in me love and respect the light in you).
