Then in November 1861, Mahavatar Babaji taught Swadharma Kriya Yoga to Sri Lahiri Mahashaya, Sri Sriyukteswar, and most recently in 1910 to Sri Paramahamsa Yogananda. Vedic Yoga & Meditation is available to the general public and do not require initiation into the spiritual lineage of Swadharma Kriya Yoga. Vedic Yoga & Meditation are preparatory steps that lead and support proper understanding, practice & application of Swadharma Kriya Yoga (Raja Yoga), and are based on Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga principles and techniques. Vedic Yoga & Meditation balance the body, mind and spirit.  Vedic Yoga & Meditation public group classes (saadhana) are usually 75 minutes. It includes 30 minutes of (Asana) postures to bring awareness & heal the body and mind as well as build muscle tonality & flexibility.  In addition, Yoga postures gently activate marmani (“acupressure” points) to bring the body and mind back to health.  It is followed by 5 minutes of pranayama (“breathwork”) exercises to gain lifeforce (“Prana”) awareness, 40 minutes of silence/meditation, and a discussion (Satsangha) to answer any of your questions about life, health, relationship, career, spirituality, etc. May all beings be realized and healed.
